Happy 60th

Hi there bloggers - I had my mother in law ring up asking me to make a 60th wedding anniversary card as she could not find a card in the shops with 60th on it. Now Neils Aunt and Uncle celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this weekend and I made their card a month or so ago and I sort of didn't bother with the words wedding anniversary or even 60th - I just made a general anniversary card but I made it in my style - so I sort of panicked when Neils mum asked me as I feel I should make a card that suits her personality. I did one attempt and didn't like it so I redid it and was happy with the final result.

I have found a new use for my Spellbinders petite scalloped circle dies - I cut 2 the same size and score every 2nd scallop, cut a line to the middle through one scallop and proceed to do a series of mountain and valley folds, I repeat this to the 2nd scalloped circle and join the 2 together to make this rosette type flower - I love it!

Of course I make the flower center by making my own buttons - I find it easier to do that rather than hunt down buttons to match!
materials - American Crafts white and spinach; Echo Park 'for the record', Basic Grey 'urban prairie', MME Stella and Rose 'gertie' papers; Vellum; Image tree brush alpha stamps, Hero Arts 'to you' stamps; Stazon olive green ink; Dies - Spellbinders labels 4, petite scalloped circles, Sizzix leaf and stem, Cuttlebug circle dies; Kaisercraft 'fonzo alphabet olive stickers; Crayola colouring pencils; natural cord; Ranger liquid pearls - white opal; Inkssentials glossy accents.

I have made this card following the sketch from Card Patterns #126, the colours of shades of green are for the monochromatic challenge at Secret Crafter, I have used loads of liquid pearls for the challenge at Totally Papercrafts - bling it up and I am submitting it to Quirky Crafts challenge - use numbers.
