Lauras sketch #18 And more cards!!!

Man I am really early this week with the 2 sketches 4 You card!!! Since we are having a heat wave my work has decided to start early to beat the heat so I get home at 2.30pm and have 2-3 hours to fill in before Neil and dinner so I can card make to my hearts content.

So here is my attempt at this weeks sketch ... I have used Making Memories and K & Co. papers, Bazzill cardstock, MM expressions sticker, blue twill and Carolees Creations adorn it tiny blue alphabet stickers.

I do love Making Memories products and in particular I am very fond of the Funky Vintage collections both Lizzie and Ruby ... I know they are old but things like that don't worry me ... I just use range, regardless of age, because I like it!!!
So here are a few cards done using Ruby papers and a Prima Owl stamp.

Some funky doodle frame cards

Since it was a long weekend here in Australia I had some inspiration to do some cards. Here is a range of cards using the Kaiser doodle frame stamps as well as other stamps and also papers (and colour range) that I absolutely adore ... the Daisy Bucket Sweet Marabella range.

Using past sketches from 2 sketches 4 you I made the following cards.

Kazans sketch #18

You know I planned to do this card Friday afternoon (Australia time!) and for some unknown reason I was awake at 2.00am this morning!!! So what usually happens (and this had occured alot in the past, not so much now!) is Neil kicks me out of bed but I decided to kick myself out of bed to do the cardmaking ... and this is the result!!! I actually like it ... the papers are BG and some of their papers are great for handcutting (which I obviously still can do at 2.00am in the morning!). And the colour combo is not to bad either - brown and pink (I do have an aversion to pink!) with a splash of green in the papers. I have also used Bazzill cardstock, velvet trim, Stampendous saying and kaiser flower.

So thankyou for looking!

Lauras sketch

What a mad week it has been, work was busy (considering the first week is usually slow!!!), yet another birthday (in fact 2 this week) and another birthday gift to be made!

So I took advantage of Lauras sketch from 2 sketches 4 u to make a birthday card for my mother in law.
I have used Kaiser papers, bazzill cardstock, maya road blossom slide, stampin up ribbon and american craft foam thickers.
I made the slide mount from chipboard and covered it with patterned paper and used a Joy definition rubber stamp.

Mojo Monday week69

Hi there, here is another inspirational sketch from Mojo Monday. I loved doing this card with Kaiser Paper and BG butterfly stamps. The sketch was perfect for the Maya Road Blossom slides which I have had for ages (so much that I nearly forgot I had them and stumbled across them accidently!!!), the title is from Queen Kat design and the ribbon is from Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking!

Mojo Monday week 68

While looking at an Aussie Scrapbooking site I found this great blog called Mojo Monday. It is a card sketch blog and since I am into cards again I decided to give their sketch a go.

The Blog had fantastic work on it and I am really inspired by the "American style" of cards - very clean and crisp lines!

So here is my interpretation of this weeks sketch - I have used Prima owl stamp and Studio G alphabet stamps and coloured them in with water colour pencils as well as papers and embellishments from the Making Memories Funky Vintage Ruby Collection ... I know the range is old but I have some papers left over and I just love this collection! Thanks for looking.

Peets bonus sketch

Since I am still on holiday I had time to do Peets' fabulous Bonus Sketch.
I have made yet another Valentines Day 09 card for Neil ... my 2nd one (and not the last I suspect!!!) I think he will be getting quite a few cards this year as I cannot decide which one I like the most!!!
Thanks for looking.

Kazans sketch #17

OMG I missed my craft room soooooo much and I couldn't wait to get back into it and have a crack at the card sketches from 2 sketches 4 U.

I hope everyone had a great holiday break. I return to work next week and so I am not really looking forward to that!!!

January is a busy month in my family for Birthdays (at least one every week!!!) so here is one for my eldest sister. I have used Crate paper and Lusi Austin acrylic stamps.
Thanks for looking!
