Kazans sketch

After being COTW and on such a high from last week I managed to get a card done based on Kazan sketch from 2sketches4u. I have used Making Memories paper, Heidi Swapp ribbon, Bazzill cardstock, glass beads, acetate and Kindy Glitz.

This week I made a shaker card (I love making those!!!). The poinsettas have been cut out from flocked Making Memories paper so they have a gorgeous velvet feel to them and then I have highlighted them with kindy glitz (I feel like I am at playcenter whenever I use Kindy Glitz!!!).

Thanks for looking and have a creative week!

how to do the border on the thankyou card below

Soccerboyzmum I hope you are reading this as I am not sure how to contact you to give you the instructions on creating the embossed border of the thankyou card so I will put them here:
1. the face of the card is best measured at 14.8cm x 14.8cm
2. line up the edge of the card in the folder (use the longest side of the folder for this size card) so 3 lines of dots are embossed (you could do more if you like) there will be a gap at one end that doesn't matter as it will be embossed as you go around.
3. run it through the bigshot or die cutting machine
4. repeat step 2 you will notice the 3 lines of embossing dots now fills the gap that was left at the end of the first side you embossed (does that make sense?)
5. keep repeating this until all 4 sides are done.

I hope this is clear enough but the most important thing is to use the long side of the folder for a card that is 14.8cm x 14.8cm

Lauras sketch #13

I love this card I made (and I almost don't want to give it away!) using Lauras sketch from 2 sketches 4 U. The sketch is simple but VERY effective. (less is best!).

I have used Kaiser paper, Bazzill cardboard, the swirl is a sizzix die and so is the scalloped frame which has been embossed with a dot cuttlebug embossing folder.

thanks for looking.

Kazan sketch #13

Wahoo another fabulous sketch from 2 sketches 4 U, this week I decided to take a break from Christmas cards and I made a 'pick me up' card for an impending bride who is somewhat stressed, tearful and fragile at the moment (no it is not me!!!) so hopefully she will get it in the post tomorrow and it will be a nice little suprise for her as she is not expecting it and it brings a smile to her face.

I have used the Indulgence paper from the Sassafras Lass Serendipity paper range, I love the owls and hearts on it. It is a lovely bright and cheerful paper, I have also used Kaiser bling, Stampendous typewriter alphabet stamps, Versa color ink and Bazzill cardboard.
Rather than do a single fold card I did a tri fold card so the swirl on the original sketch is the hearts with the title and embellishment on the middle part of the card and the back part of the card is just covered with patterned paper ... I hope you like it!

Another christmas card

continuing on with my christmas card quest I have used Lauras' sketch from 2 sketches 4 U to create this card using papers from Sassafras (I love their papers!). I have also used clear vellum (behind the doves) to soften the effect of the paper and kindy glitz around the edging of the biggest dove. I can't wait until the next sketch ... they are a real help in creating my christmas cards for this year!!! Thanks for looking!
