Kazans sketch #15

I think this is my last christmas card for this season!!!! And for some strange reason I decided to have a go at a slider card (a little difficult to tell).

Anyway Kazans sketch from 2sketches4U was an excellent sketch to do a card with a mechanical component and I love a challenge like that. I used the countdown to christmas paper from Kaiser and made an advent calendar (so it can be reused next year!!!). The little arrow pointing to the number 13 actually slides along and down through the numbers, the middle part (days 'til christmas) is slightly raised so the arrow (mounted on 2 acetate circles and a brad) can slide along.

Well I love the idea of being able to move parts on the card around with the aid of a groove cut out from the cardboard and 2 pieces of acetate placed front and back of the groove so an object can slide freely. You should give it a go ... its fun to make!

Anyway thanks for looking.

That is so clever! I love cards that you can play with too, but rarely find the time to make them! This one is just wonderful and I love how you used the sketch!
