Hello there and welcome to my guest DT spot for Annabelle Stamps. This fortnights challenge is a colour one:
I have been dying to try out a new technique that I found at Technique Time Tuesday - velveteen.
But first here is my card and below is a close up of the flowers and then a brief explanation of the technique ...
and a close up ...
basically you stamp a background style stamp with white ink on white cardstock, let it dry completely (speed it up by using a heat tool) then using a silhouette style stamp stamp over the white background and it comes through. Not quite the resistant technique where you want the embossed colour to come through but here the ink colour on the silhouette stamp becomes slightly lighter in colour where the white ink was. My background stamp is from BBD2 and the flowers are from Stemmed flowers.
So as you can see AC156 this fortnight is the colours grape, waterfall and pumpkin. It is a very bright colour combo when used together. So if you would like to participate in this challenge just pop on over to the Annabelle Stamps Blog.
