Just a note

I think Neil has decided that he will not take me to the movies anymore ... or I don't choose the movies ... we just got back from watching the planet of the apes movies and I tell you I spent the first half of the movie crying my eyes out ... I thought it was an action packed movie not a tear jerker!!! Lucky it was dark so I could sit there and sob my little heart out!
Anyway I managed to make this card before we went but didn't get time to photograph and load it up so I am doing it now.
I got a wonderful set of stamps in the post yesterday from AnnaBelle Stamps and I just had to try them out! so following the distressing challenge this week from AnnaBelle Stamps blog and incorporating the colours from Diecut Dreams (pink, green and coffee), the sketch from Sketchy Saturday, ribbons from Kaboodle Doodles and incorporating a card and gift together for Cupcake Crafts I made this card with a little notepad on the inside!

here is a close up of the lily flower from Squared Posies - I actually stamped it on vellum, flipped it over and coloured it in with Crayola colouring pencils and then flipped it back to reveal the colouring. I have always found with vellum that the colouring is more effective when you colour the back of the image rather than the front (like with most colouring in!) - give it a go!

and the inside is a little note pad that I trimmed down to size and put a patterned paper covering on it! I love incorporating little gifts as part of the card.

materials - AC coffee card; Kaisercraft 'country grove', MM 'Noteworthy Audrey' papers; Vellum; AnnaBelle stamps 'squared posies' stamps; Stazon timber brown ink; Crayola colouring pencils; Provocraft dot embossing folder, MFT notebook edge die; Ribbon

Thanks for looking.
