Being with you

Well I have been neglecting my card blog for a few days now but the weather here in Victoria is absolutely gorgeous and I been out on the bike everyday soaking up the sun and getting in some training - not long now (5-6 weeks weather pending!) until we depart.
But a break is as good as a holiday and I was over the moon with the way this card turned out ... I had an idea! OH NO! ... to stamp on felt! this comes from the challenge over at Moxie Fab World - Felt.

I used Hero Arts 'be happy' stamp set to create a scene for the challenge over at Secret Crafter. What I found with fussy cutting felt is that the wool felt cuts better (only a little fraying) compared to acrylic felt. But you notice a big difference when you use a die and cutting machine the both the wool and acrylic cut better compared to fussy cutting!

I used Stazon ink so it dries instantly - I suspect if you use a waterbased ink it may not dry and therefore it is easier to smudge.
I have used the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches and they have a spin this week and that was 'fibers' so I used bakers twine. I am also submitting it for Paper Sundaes - sundae bar, a choice of 2 of the following: green, buttons, banners or twine - so I chose green and twine. This week at Designed 2 Delight they have 'anything goes' - gotta love that! so I am submitting it for that.
materials - Bazzill green card; Prima 'paisley road' papers; Hero Arts 'be happy' stamps; Stazon jet black ink; Spellbinders labels 4, Provocraft circle and flower dies; felt, twine, Kaisercraft rhinestones.

    Have never tried to stamp on felt, but will give it a go - it looks great. Wonderful card :)
