Just sitting ...

Back in the craft room today! below is a the first of the cards I made today - both a definitely different from each other.
I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday, my inspiration comes from Quirky Crafts - no patterned papers ie. make your own patterned paper! And I included a few bits and pieces from the challenge over at Totally Papercrafts - choose a line of 3 (buttons, brads and diecut/punch).

I applied glossy accents to the chair.

So for making my own patterned paper I stamped Annabelle Stamps 'background by design 2' flower swirl on off white paper using smoke blue ink and also stamped the brown and olive green paper with another small circle stamp from the same set.

I liked how the scene came together - the table, lamp and chair coming from Hero Arts, the curtains from Ferngully stamps and I have no idea where the window stamp came from!

I even used a circle diecut to make my own buttons and applied glossy accents to them to give them a little bit of shine!

Birthday wishes

well just a quick card today - gotta rush and get ready to go to Footy tonight - Geelong vs. Essendon! fingers crossed the mighty Geelong cats win!
Anyway, sometimes when I begin a card I get the feeling that I am not going to like the end result, well I looked at the challenge list and the popular theme this week seems to be stars and stripes - well stripes I love and I am okay with them ... but stars I am a little 'iffy' on and whenever I use them I don't like the resulting card ... well this morning I finished this card and I have to say that I really like it!!!

the little dog digging into the gift box image is so sweet and I think this would make a great card for anyone despite the rather masculine colours.

I have made this card following the sketch from Card Patterns #121. The frame concept is from Annabelle Stamps blog - say it with frames, the stars are from What's that theme throwdown and also Birthday Sundaes - stars and stripes. The image inspiration is from the challenge at Southern Girls - inner child - I use to love getting presents (the only time was at xmas and birthdays) and did exactly what this little dog is doing when I got them!

Just sitting here

I have decided that there is just not enough hours in the day! I only managed to sit down this afternoon to do this card after cleaning and running about getting my passport photo ... and why is it that when you get these photos taken you end up looking like a criminal in them ... honestly 'passport photos' could do with a serious scrapbooking overhaul!!! wouldn't our passports be lovely ... imagine being able to 'decorate' your passport!!!
Anyway I made this card for Moxie Fab World - Stamp it! cards week challenge where you had to make a card with stamping as the dominant element and I love playing with stamps. I have also followed the challenge from Simon Says - lavender and lemon.

I have used the set from Hero Arts 'wish you were here' and I love the combo of open stamps (stamps that can be coloured or in my case paper pieced with) and silhouettes and of course I have also used one of my favourite techniques - paper piecing - I find it very relaxing to just sit there and fussy cut.

Hello everyone
Here is a card I made following the awesome sketch from Cardabilities - you have 2 weeks to work with this sketch before the next sketch reveal (on July 15 - which, incidentally, is when I start as on the DT!).

Now the sketch is open for interpretation as long as you can see the basics of the sketch. Here is my card ...

The little bird on the tree stump is from the awesome sponsor for this sketch - Robyn's Fetish (a little birdie told me digital stamp).

I printed the digital stamp 3 times and cut the various elements out and attached the flowers and birds with foam tape to give it a more 3D effect. I have used colouring in pencils (oh man I felt like I was back in Kinder while doing colouring with pencils!).
To create my sun rays I punched 6 primitive hearts, trimmed the tops off and attached my alpha stickers on them - easy aye!
I love the brightness of this card and absolutely adored the digital stamp image - too tweet!
I have also submitted this card for Digital Tuesday Challenge - flowers and CRAFT - gardening. Also for Crafts & Me - make a happy birthday card and Totally Papercrafts - spots and stripes - I love spots!

Sigh! just one card today - had a few bits and pieces to do. I made it for Jay Gee Nooks Blog whose challenge this month is a photo challenge of lots of beach things, banners, lighthouse etc and predominantly blue and white with a little red. I also followed the sketch from Mojo Mondays #197 and also managed to incorporate the 'T' challenge from Top Tip Tuesday where you had to use anything beginning with the letter 't' and I used twine, triangles and a tag!

And my tip - to make waves use a scalloped template and trace the outline and then turn it upside down to create some waves!

OMGosh I have succumbed to the little girl stamps!!! I have held of for soooooo long and then one day an online shop has a ridiculously great sale and I just had to buy some and give them a go! I don't know why I have avoided these type of stamps (the magnolias etc) maybe because I don't have anyone to give these types of cards to ... some how I think my 11 year nephew would just die if he got one of these ... oh my gosh I could give one to him just to annoy him!!! yes I might just do that! Anyway here is my card ...

I have made this card following the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches #114. The colour inspiration comes from Scrapbook Boutique - White, Lavender and Purple. I have incorporated the criteria from CRAFT #108 and that was 1 tag (title), 2 circles (under the tulip and the tag) and 3 rectangles/squares (the layered paper). I am also submitting it for the challenge at Paper Sundaes and naturally I chose purple and gems (liquid pearls) as my choice and also for Kaboodle Doodles - circles and dots - I love spots and dots paper!

I spent the weekend in Colac (country Victoria) with the in laws and so I didn't get any cards made! So I am doing a bit of a catch up with a few late ones from last week combined with a few from the start of the week!
I started with the sketch from Card Positioning Systems #224 and the colours come from Designed 2 Delight and Paper Playtime which both are doing Red White and Blue. I have incorporated dry embossing for Secret Crafter and butterflies for What's that theme throwdown. I adore dots and spots and love incorporating them in cards so this card is no exception ... you could say it is a dot and rhinestone card!
