Howdy bloggers - I have been absent the past week or so - a little bit of R&R on the coastline of Victoria - simply beautiful!!!
This morning I jumped back into the swing of things and created this little fruit basket birthday card. Before I left for my short holiday I got a set of Paper Smooches stamps - fruitastic and I have been itching to have a go at making a fruit basket using a circle die, here is the card ...
the basket is easy to make - just die cut 2 of the largest circles from the Spellbinders Standard Circle Large nestabilities and using my Creative Memories circle cutters I die cut a half circle (leaving a handle) from the top half of the circle and repeated the same for the second circle. Then secured the 2 pieces together using a small folded piece of cardboard - to easy :) Below is a side view ...
and a close up of the fruit ...
I made this card for several challenges the first being Paper Smooches Sparks - I stumbled on this blog when I was looking at their stamps and their challenge was a photo inspiration and I drew 3 things from it - felt (the fruit has been stamped and fussy cut from felt), the wreath (inspired by the circle) and layering. I also made a circle card for Cupcake Craft Challenges, the colours are for the challenge over at Southern Girls - red, yellow and blue and I am also submitting it for Kaboodle Doodles - cuteness - now aren't those fruit cute? :)
materials - Bazzill blue, AC sapphire, white and Yellow cardstock; Jillibean Soup 'watermelon gazpacho soup' papers; Paper Smooches 'fruitastic' stamps, AnnaBelle Stamps 'party animals 1' stamps; StazOn jet black ink, Brilliance mediterranean blue ink; Spellbinders standard circles large nesties; Provocraft cuttlebug circle and flower dies; Carl scallop scissors; felt; Ranger ruby red liquid pearls; red 1/8" eyelet; 7mm split ring.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the week.
