A little something just for you

Just after Easter we are heading off on the pushbikes again and I am suppose to be getting things which are my responsibility for this trip ready but I snuck into the craftroom this afternoon when I should have been sorting out my clothes that I am to take on our cycle ride! ... considering I am very limited as to what I can take I didn't think it would take long to pack away 2 cycle knicks, 4 t-shirts, 2 shorts, vest, 2 thermals, 1 pair of socks, 1 pair of leggings, 4 underwear and 2 bras ... all this for 9 months!  and I was right I managed to finish the card and it took me 10 mins to pack all the above away!
I made this card following the sketch from Mojo Mondays - but I combined both the square and circle card sketches!  I also made it for Kaboodle Doodles - circles and squares and AnnaBelle Stamps blog - twine - although I wasn't very creative with the twine :( ... all I did was put it around the edge of the circle and around the card!

materials - White cardstock, Core 'dinations aquarium; MME Stella & Rose gertie papers; StazOn jet black ink, Versa Color bamboo ink; Crayola colouring pencils; Spellbinders standard circles large; 20mm white organza trim; AnnaBelle stamps green twine; AnnaBelle Stamps 'squared posies' (title) and 'stemmed flowers' stamps; Kaisercraft pearls.
Thanks for looking.

hugs

Hi there - here is a quick card that I made this morning using a collection of stamps from Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and Verve.
I have made this card following this weeks sketch from Card Positioning Systems, also for the challenges from CAS-ual Fridays - bold and beautiful (use black and pastels) and 'less is best' for Theres magic in the Air.

I have to admit that when I looked at the challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays and saw the combo was black with pastels and  I thought that was a little odd but I have to admit I really like the 'odd combo' :)
materials - AC black, white cardstock; DCWV 'spring fling' papers; StazOn jet black ink, Versa Color sage and sky blue inks; Stamps - Lawn Fawn 'swimsuit season', Hero Arts 'be happy', Verve 'Up up & away'; Twine; Darice 'dot 2 dot' black alpha stickers; Tombow multi glue; Fiskars 'round the bend' punch.
Thanks for looking.

Hey there cookie!

Hey there cookies!!! This months challenge over at Scrapbook Boutique Blog is a photo inspiration challenge ...

... aren't they just gorgeous enough to eat?  I drew inspiration from the colours, flowers and teacups to come up with this card ...

a close up of the flowers - the circle flower is made from cuttlebug circle dies and I used a broad tip embossing tool in a circular motion to the front of the patterned paper so it would curl up a bit and then assembled it with a brad

and the little mouse poking out of the teacup!

I have made this card for the Stamp Spot - whose March Spots this month are use green, brads and twine.
I have followed the sketch from Card Patterns #158 and have followed the challenge set by Paper Sundaes - spring blossoms.
materials - AC pacific card, white cardstock, Bazzill parakeet; Jillibean Soup 'spotted owl' papers, Inky Antics 'teacup mousie #2' stamps; StazOn timber brown ink, Versa Color sky blue ink; Spellbinder standard circles large nesties; Provocraft cuttlebug circle dies; Twinery twine; Basic Grey 'urban prarie' large brad; Kaisercraft pearls; broad tip embossing tool; Crayola colouring pencils; Fiskars round the bend punch; Queen & Co. felt flowers.

Eggcellent Easter

I thought about making small cards this year for easter treats but instead I decided for the quick and easy tag :)  So following the colour challenge from AnnaBelle Stamps Blog this week - 'say it in yellow and white' (I luv yellow!), Through the Craftroom Door - tags for easter or spring, Jay Gees Nook Blog photo inspiration - inspired by easter eggs! and CAS-ual Fridays - 1,2,3 - a pattern, an image and a sentiment ... I made this little tag ...

I love these little eggs from the 'eggcellent' stamp set (Jillibean Soup) and I put little pearls for the eyes and created a pupil with a permanent black marker!
Normally we are not easter type people (having no children seems to be the reason!) but we will be spending Easter here in Melbourne this year and I think I might make up small chocolate treats for the family so if I get cracking now I should be able to do a few more tags before easter so then it is not a last minute rush!
materials - white and yellow cardstock; MME 'Stella & Rose Gertie' papers; Jillibean Soup 'eggcellent' stamps, MFT 'mini banner day alphabet' stamps; StazOn jet black ink, Versa Color canary ink; Kaisercraft pearls; black marker; yellow gingham; bow easy; Sizzix oval tag die (large tag); Ranger buttercup liquid pearls.

Fruit basket

Howdy bloggers - I have been absent the past week or so - a little bit of R&R on the coastline of Victoria - simply beautiful!!!
This morning I jumped back into the swing of things and created this little fruit basket birthday card.  Before I left for my short holiday I got a set of Paper Smooches stamps - fruitastic and I have been itching to have a go at making a fruit basket using a circle die, here is the card ...

the basket is easy to make - just die cut 2 of the largest circles from the Spellbinders Standard Circle Large nestabilities and using my Creative Memories circle cutters I die cut a half circle (leaving a handle) from the top half of the circle and repeated the same for the second circle.  Then secured the 2 pieces together using a small folded piece of cardboard - to easy :)  Below is a side view ...

and a close up of the fruit ...

I made this card for several challenges the first being Paper Smooches Sparks - I stumbled on this blog when I was looking at their stamps and their challenge was a photo inspiration and I drew 3 things from it - felt (the fruit has been stamped and fussy cut from felt), the wreath (inspired by the circle) and layering.  I also made a circle card for Cupcake Craft Challenges, the colours are for the challenge over at Southern Girls - red, yellow and blue and I am also submitting it for Kaboodle Doodles - cuteness - now aren't those fruit cute? :)
materials - Bazzill blue, AC sapphire, white and Yellow cardstock; Jillibean Soup 'watermelon gazpacho soup' papers; Paper Smooches 'fruitastic' stamps, AnnaBelle Stamps 'party animals 1' stamps; StazOn jet black ink, Brilliance mediterranean blue ink; Spellbinders standard circles large nesties; Provocraft cuttlebug circle and flower dies; Carl scallop scissors; felt; Ranger ruby red liquid pearls; red 1/8" eyelet; 7mm split ring.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the week.

and baby makes 3

gosh it has been over a week since I have made a card!  we went camping last week at Phillip Island - lovely place down there.  So I get back to Melbourne and just yesterday when i started this 'baby' card for CAS-ual Fridays I find out that I am going to be an Aunty again!  My youngest sister is having another child!   So I think it is very 'creepy' that I am doing a 'baby' card (I normally don't do these) and I find out a new baby is on the way in the family :)
So I based this card on the sketch from Card Patterns and the colours are from the challenge over at AnnaBelle Stamp blog - say it with brown, mustard and olive.

here is a close up of the oversized tag ...

I created the little family from Stampin Up 'all in the family' set where you can mix and match the clothes, faces and feet according to what family you want to create - I love the set and don't use it enough!
materials - AC butter and white card; Bazzill parakeet, Core 'dinations chocolate mocha cardstock; Echo Park 'for the record' papers; Stampin Up 'all in the family' stamps; MFT 'mini banner day alphabet' stamps; StazOn jet black, Versa Color bamboo, Brilliance coffee inks; Spellbinders standard circles large; MFT wonky border; Carl 12mm circle punch; Provocraft cuttlebut flower dies; Provocraft silent setter; 10mm split ring; natural cord; 15mm yellow grossgrain; Kaisercraft fonzo alphabet olive stickers; 1/8" brass eyelet.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your week.
