While away cycling we passed through Warrnambool where Neils cousin lives and we stayed with them. So I wanted to make them a small christmas gift to say thankyou. The challenge over at AnnaBelle Stamps Blog is 'say it with christmas handmade gifts' so I thought I would make a gift tag set using AnnaBelle stamps - Christmas scene baubles and Squared Posies. I wanted to keep it simple and also as flat as possible so I came up with a series of tags that fit into a pouch that sort of is like an oversized american matchbox - I say American as in Aussie the matches come in a rectangle box and watching American tv shows they seem to be in pouches. I have followed the sketch from Card Positioning Systems #247 for the front of the pouch, incorporated a ribbon for Southern Girls and I am also submitting it for this months challenge over at Jay Gee's Nook which is a photo inspiration of all things christmas but was more inspired by the christmas colours and natural colours - hence the greys and natural cord for the tags.
the front flap tucks in behind the bottom red strip with merry christmas on it.
here is a side view where you can see the tags tucked in
and the inside which holds around 15 tags - 5 x 3 different types.
Each tag has the title 'a little something just for you' which is from AnnaBelle stamps squared posies set and the bottom images are from AnnaBelle stamps christmas scene baubles. I have left room between the title and images for her to insert a name.
materials - grey and white cardstock; Bazzill fern cardstock; Cosmo Cricket 'mitten weather' papers; AnnaBelle Stamps 'christmas scene baubles' & 'squared posies', Jillibean Soup 'christmas eve chowder' (merry christmas title); Stazon black ink; Versa Color - magenta, chateau grey, smoke blue, olive and sand beige inks; Spellbinders petite scalloped circles large dies; Provocraft circle dies; Provocraft 'red tag' alphabet dies (rounded tag); maroon 10mm trim; AnnaBelle stamps natural cord.
