Happy Birthday Friend

I made a card yesterday afternoon and I have to admit it is different from what I normally make and I sort of struggled with it, after quite a few attempts I finally settled on the card below - still not sure of it!

It is difficult to see in the photo but I used an embossing tool to raise the centers of the open circles as well as created an embossed border around the title.

I think what it is with this card is that I tried to combine challenges and every challenge I added to it - it became harder to make! The first challenge is Annabelle Stamps blog - and that was to make a card with one layer, then I added the challenge from Card Positioning Systems which is a sketch so that complicated but challenged me! then I decided oh what the heck lets go for a colour challenge from Jay Gees Nook blog - photo inspiration and I chose the colours of purple and white, so by now I was really streeeeeeeeeeeeeetching my brain to create and then I thought okay one more challenge! ... nice and easy for Birthday Sundaes - a birthday card!!!
LOL I am a stickler for creative punishment!
materials - White cardstock; Annabelle Stamps - Background by Design 2, Party Animals 1 and Stemmed flowers stamps; Versa Color violet, heliotrope inks; Embossing tool.

    Hi Janet, so good to see another card from you this week at ABS. Love how you used your background set to created a beautiful one layer card....the embossing is clear,very clever, as it adds extra dimension !
