True Love anniversary card

I spent nearly all day making this card! Neils Aunt and Uncle will be celebrating their 60th wedding Anniversary in August so I thought I would plan ahead and have a try at an Anniversary card for them. I saw the sketch from Card Patterns #119 and thought of an idea to use the circle as a heart and then I had the brain wave to hang a bird cage from it ... and because I liked my idea I just had to try to make a card to feature a large heart with a hanging birdcage!

side view - it took me a while to figure out how to have the heart and thought a of a card with many folds!

with the large sizzix heart swirl I trimmed the swirl at the top so the cage could hang more freely.

and I just bought MFT mini roses die and had to some how incorporate them on this card and so created a little garden bed at the base of the heart.

I found the MFT mini rose dies work better with felt, although paper does work I found that I had to practice alot with the papers to get it looking like a rose!

I have seen these multi fold cards and they looked fab so I thought I would give it a go with my own clean line style and I do like the resulting card.

I am also submitting this card to Magic in the Air with Cupcakes blog - use 2 - flowers and diecuts and also for Totally Stampalicious - anything goes.
materials - Core 'dinations pitstachio, American Craft crimson, Bazzill Ivy; Echo Park 'for the record' papers; Bo Bunny 'crush' stamps; Stazon jet black ink; Sizzix heart swirl and leaf steam dies, Spellbinders 'label 4' dies, MFT mini rolled roses and little open scalloped edge dies; Kaisercraft ice green pearls; Inque ribbon; felt; acetate; Ranger white opal liquid pearls.
