One can never have too many birthday cards in your stash! so today I used the challenges from Birthday Sundaes (a fab blog I found that is devoted to birthday card challenges!) and Theres' Magic in the Air blog which both had birthday cards as their challenge. The image was inspired from the challenge over at Cupcake Craft where you to use something starting with the letter 'C' (I didn't think that an actual 'C'ard would qualify - so I have used an image of a mouse holding a 'C'ake with 'C'andles and circles.
The sketch comes from Card Positioning Systems #216.
I have used some very old paper from Daisy Bucket 'Sweet Marabella' francesca papers, the stamps are from Annabelle Stamps 'Party Animals 1' - a fabulous set. I have pleated a grossgrain ribbon and attached it to the back of a circle. I have faux stitched around the edges and I have to admit that I did make a mistake in the bottom right corner of the card where the pen I was using grazed across the corner so after doing alot of cursing I had to do it to the rest of the corners! I think it turned out ok in the end!
Thanks for looking.
Ahhh what a sweet card and I love the way you have used the ribbon, thankyou for joining us on the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog.
