Lauras sketch 43 - Moo La La

Gosh it has been a while since I have made a card based on a sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. I have slipped back into the craft room quite comfortably since our return from cycling (although I shouldn't get too comfy as we are off again in another 3 weeks!) and I am working on heaps of birthday cards for the family as it is a busy time of the year for birthdays in my family.
This one is based on Lauras sketch and is for my nephew who turns 18 on Valentines Day so I am getting in early this year!
The front part of the card lifts up to reveal 'happy 18th birthday'

here is a side on view of the card.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my card and have a great week.

it has been soooo long!

It really has been a looooooooooooong time since I created something to display on my blog! After pedalling around Victoria, Australia, for 2 months with my partner and our dog (yes pedalling on our pushbikes!) and also without any craft supplies in tow!
So I have reentered my craft room just before xmas and made a series of xmas cards and then tried to do normal cards but alas I think I had lost my craft mojo after a 2 month break. But after a few failures I finally got my crafty hands back and I managed to create this card for my sister based on the criteria set over at Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge Blog
The criteria was 'something old, something new, something torn and something blue'. I assumed that something old was something that has been in your stash for a while ... well I found plenty and this challenge was a great way to use those products that you tend to ignore! namely Basic Grey Lily Kate collection papers, shrinky dink plastic (just for you title) and some Maya Road velvet ric rac, the something new was a new butterfly stamp by Grant Archival that I found the other day when I was in Spotlight, the something torn was nearly every piece of paper and cardboard used! (I love tearing paper!) and something blue includes the paper, card and kaiser paper flowers.

Below are 2 photos that show the card close up

I am quite happy with the resulting card and I am sure my sister will like it!
Thanks for looking!
