Kazans sketch #25 - I appreciate you

I have gone all girly this week!!! Here is a card that I used from 2 sketches 4 U At first it had me stumped and I didn't know what to use as I didn't have any stars and then it hit me I will use hearts ... I thought Mothers Day is coming up here in Australia and NZ (on May 12) so I need to start making 2 cards (one my mum and another for Neils mother). So once I got started on this card I couldn't stop myself. I have used Melissa Frances papers and stickers that I have had for a long time and thought they make pretty girly cards ... which is a little different to what I normally have been doing lately! But I enjoyed doing cards that are outside my comfort zone and this is one of them. I have also used prima and kaiser flowers, kaiser pearls, sizzix tipsy heart diecuts and MM rubons.
Thanks for looking.

Inkurable stampers - black, orange and white

this months challenge over at Inkurable stampers is using black, orange and white and off course using stamps as the focus! this is to celebrate their 1st birthday. So happy birthday to Sarah Schwerin and Inkurable stampers!
Now I was fortunate enough to win some stamps from Darkroom Door and so I did a little bit of retail therapy while I was there and came across these fantastic Robot stamps and there was 2 to choose from and I couldn't decide so I got my nephew to choose and he chose the set with the girl and boy robots!
This is my first card made using this set, the other stamps used are Ferngully sheep stamp, Stampendous Alphabet stamps. Cardboard is Bazzill and MM paper.
I have stamped the robot on water colour paper and coloured it in with marvy pens and a blender pen and decorated it with Kaiser pearls. I then stamped the sheep 4 times on water colour paper and slightly coloured them. I put the robot amoungst the sheep and decided the title was rather appropriate ... dare to be different! The layout of the card is based on an old sketch from 2 sketches 4 U.

Lauras sketch #24

I really enjoyed using Lauras sketch from 2 sketches 4 U this week. It was a fantastic sketch and I took advantage of it to make a birthday card for Neils' Uncle who turns 80 next weekend. And to enlighten his sense of humour I have made a rather cheeky one. I have also stamped the inside of the card which is a little different for me as I usually leave it blank.
I have used BG paper, BG and maya road velvet ribbon, carolee creations rubons, kaiser bling, pink paislee stickers, stazon ink, Imaginence stamps, Marvy markers and blender pen and Bazzill cardstock.

Kazans sketch #24

Well I am back and completely refreshed from my 1 week holiday up in the warmer climate of the Gold Coast ... although I am back here in Melbourne where it is a lot cooler as we are in the Autumn months I still wanted to make a card that is reflective of the Summer months and colours that I will sorely miss!
I have used MM papers and a Sizzix thong die to make this card. It is a small card but I absolutely loved the way it turned out ... I have always wanted to turn this die into a card and Kazans sketch from 2 sketches 4 U was perfect for it.

Lauras sketch #23

I never thought I would get this card done!!! ... I am currently on holiday with my family up in in Gold Coast and I so far have been on the Giant drop twice, the claw once and the wipe out once and I think those names are self explanatory. It is not as easy to do those rides when you are at the tender age of 37 but it is okay if you are 10!!!

I did mange to slip in my luggage some card making supplies thinking that I would have the time to do some cards ... well I tell you the minute I get the supplies out ... "Oh Janet can I make a card please" and "oh yeah I need to make a card for ..." so finally today I managed to do the fabulous sketch from 2 sketches 4 U.

I have used Bo Bunny Alyssa papers and rubons and that range is really girly (well for me it is!) and I absolutely loved it!

Kazans sketch #23

What I love about 2 sketches 4 U is that I get a great sketch each week and then I can decide if I want to do something different, or practice a technique, or go completely "A" wall (so to speak) and just see what happens if I don't think!!! well this week I decided to not think about it and not plan and just start with some farm animal stamps from Ferngully Stamps, so I started with the animals and did a bit of colouring in! and then I thought yep I have a fence stamp somewhere in my collection so I stamped that and a little bit more colouring in, then I thought about 4 years ago I bought some farm stamps (why I did that I have no idea!) so I got those out and did the background barn .... now being a city girl through and through I thought now what do farm people say and I decided to stereotype country people and started out with "y'all" (I think I watched too much Dukes of Hazard when I was a kid!!!) and then I finished it off with 'have a good day'.

Hopefully I haven't offended anyone but I adore this simple card and I love my title for it! thanks for looking!
