Examples of my creations for the Kaiser DT callout.

Below are some examples of my creations. I thought it would be easier to view them here on my blog rather than trying to look for them in online galleries. I have created this post exclusively for the Kaiser DT callout and I thankyou for taking the time to look at my work.

So tweet ... 2S4U

What an exhausting week it has been for me .... just busy busy busy at work but I still found the energy to do Lauras sketch #22. Since we are now in Autumn (and you all up there in the Northern Hemisphere are in Spring) and we are finding the days shorter and cooler but the temperatures are still liveable! I decided to use brighter colours for my card (compared to my normal conservative colours!) and it is a bright yellow and orange with papers from Sassafras Lass, ribbon from American Crafts and versa colour ink. I loved the yellow, normally I don't use that colour in cards and scrapbooking and the paper is really bright and cheery ... i think I will keep this card for myself, it fits perfectly in my room as it is a bright yellow too.

I look forward to next weeks card and I hope you all have a great weekend/week. Thanks for looking.

Kazans sketch #22 and Woohoo!!!

WOOHOO!!! I have just received an email from my favourite cardmaking magazine (Australian cardmaking - rubber stamping and papercraft) and they would like to publish some "Non Traditional" christmas cards that I submitted to them ... I know it is a wee bit early to make christmas cards but they asked for the submission so I used my favourite stamps at the moment from Stampin Up - all in the family where you can mix and match the heads, clothes, legs and arms ... they are fabulous stamps and I also used non christmas colours and papers, so they are a little unusual!!!
Any how I did Kazans sketch last night and thought since this is a big year in my family for milestone birthdays - 2 x 5oth and 1 x 80th I thought I would get in early and start to make the 50th birthday cards and this is the result. I have used Kaiser 'cafe culture' papers, which are great for both feminine and male layouts and cards, Red tag dies (for the numbers), jump rings, Carolees Creations alphabet stickers, Cuttlebug embossing numbers plates, Bazzill cardboard and Stazon timber brown ink.
Thanks for looking! and have a great week everyone!

Inkurable Stampers - using alphabet stamps

Here is a card that I have made for Inkurable Stampers - the challenge was to use alphabet stamps. I have used a variety of alphabet stamps - the 'c' is See Dees, I can't remember the brand for the alphabet used in 'elebrate and Age'! and 'your and old' are Stampendous typewriter alphabet.
The chicken is from Ferngully stamps and I have used watercolour pencils and an aquabrush, the card bazzill and I have used a sizzix die and a lilac colour grossgrain ribbon to finish it!
The beauty of alphabet stamps is you can create any saying or title to suit the person you are giving the card to. Obviously this card is going to someone with a sense of humour about their age!

Lauras sketch #21

This weeks sketch was fantastic ... I really enjoyed making this card. I found this funky little stamp from Ferngully Stamps and I just fell in love with it and had to buy it!!! I also bought other stamps related to farm animals and I hope I get to use them in future sketches. So I turned Lauras sketch into a birthday card for no one in particular just a spare one! I have used Kaiser papers, Bazzill cardstock, prima small flowers, kaiser pearls, stazon ink, watercolour pencils and an aqua brush.

Thanks for looking!

Kazans sketch #21 UR just wonderful

Usually I struggle with Kazans sketches but this week it came to me quite quickly!! I used some Cosmo Cricket papers that I have lying around (it is my goal this year to use older papers that I have had in my paper stash for a long time!!!). I have also used American Craft thickers, Carolee Creations stickers, Bazzil brads, Kaiser rubons and mullberry paper flowers.
And again this week I have done another interactive card (I love doing them) and this time 2 tags with inspirational quotes on them can be pulled out from the side of the flower.
