Lauras sketch #7

I had a ball making this card. It is based on a Carol Jansen different card shape that was in a stamping and papercraft magazine a few issues ago. And I just couldn't resist adapting Lauras sketch to this high heel shoe card. I have to admit that the sketches from 2 sketches 4 you are just so easy to adapt and work with that I have really enjoyed creating cards based on these sketches, I look forward to every monday to find out the newest sketch. It has reinvigorated me to go back to card making!

Kazan's Sketch #7

Hi all, here is my card creation based on Kazan's sketch from 2 sketches 4 you. I have used Kaiser paper and brads, bazzill cardstock and mullberry paper flowers.

I love the colours lime green and black at the moment.

This is some serious hand cutting!!!

I love the effect hand cutting gives a layout, it is a beautiful way to embellish and the more intricate the cutting the better!!! Theoretically I should be a 'hunchback' with all the hand cutting I do.

In this layout using papers from the Basic Grey Sultry Range I have cut out a flower from one of the papers (not sure which one but it has paisley shapes on it with a brown background!) I have also added kindy glitz and folded some hot pink mulberry flowers in half and tucked them under a few petals.

Most people dislike hand cutting but practice practice and more practice and before you know it you will be hand cutting the most intricate and delicate cutouts!!!

Today I found out that I made the 'fab 5' for the "2 sketches 4 you" Lauras sketch #6. So I am really rapt with that. I loved doing the sketch it was so user friendly and open to any interpretation. I can't wait until the next sketch is posted.

My first blog posting!!

Hey all I have finally entered the world of 'blogs'. Hopefully I can update this regularly with my recent scrapbooking layouts, cards and OTP projects.

You have probably guessed by now that I am a avid scrapbooker and stamper ... I live for these 2 crafts.

I am currently a design team member for Craft bits and bears. This is a lovely place to sit back and relax and have a chat. Eve the owner is a lovely chatty woman. We are having a cybercrop on Saturday 23 August at 7.30pm so come on in and join us!!!
